Before launching Build Don't Beg, James operated Engaged Headhunters, an executive healthcare recruiting firm built from scratch. Like most high-ticket service companies, it was initially tethered to the legacy hamster wheel: relentless cold calls, volatile job board ad spend, and manual outreach just to maintain candidate and client pipelines.
As a former U.S. Navy Information Site Security Officer with a Master of Science in Information Assurance from Norwich University, James applied rigorous systems thinking to solve the customer acquisition bottleneck. Instead of paying platforms for temporary attention, he engineered autonomous AI workflows: sub-60 second candidate engagement agents, database reactivation protocols, and deep semantic schema structures.
The goal was to move Engaged Headhunters away from outbound chasing and toward inbound interest from hospital leadership, without adding overhead. That same approach is what we now build for clients.
